Based on that what should I expect when I order a 3M connection and NOW TV? Will the TV service cripple the internet connection?

The Now Tv decoder sucks 2/3rds of the 3M connection.
I get up to 200 kB/s with it on and up 600kB/s with it off.

Getting 600KB/s down a 3Mbit/s connection defies the laws of physics. I suspect you have a 6Mbit/s connection.

I only signed up for and pay for 3Mbit/s ( checked the paperwork before posting ). The laws of physics be damned !
