    Spilt coffee on Mac air

So, just spilt coffee on my laptop. I flipped it over immediately and am letting it dry out. It sure itself down right away.
    So, what are my options?
I’ve spilt water on my previous laptop air and it came back to life fine after drying out. But I fear coffee is a killer.
I do have some important stuff on it that is probably not been backed up.....

Back up your Air and get it cleaned.

Why is coffee different than water? Is it because you have cream with your coffee?

The coffee also had soy milk.
Why not an apple repair shop? Just wondering. Is it just cheaper or will Apple not touch it?
I do back up but not sure if I got everything. Panicked initially but don’t think I would have lost much.
Just a pain and waste of time. Angry with myself

dry it out a few day and then turn it on, mostly likely no damage at all

Dry it out as thoroughly as possible. Stick it in a box with silica gel (can buy at camera shops). Then clean the outside carefully with 100% isopropyl alcohol and cotton balls/Q-tips. When you are sure it's 100 dry and clean, turn it on and hope for the best.

Rice is a good drying agent however, it can leave behind fine powder.

It’s upside down over a dehumidifier. That’s what worked before when I spilt water.
    Fingers crossed!

Perhaps in the future you should drink out of one of these . . .
