RAID to extend drive capacity

    I am really not sure what your question is after the reliability of the DVDs para.

    CD/DVDs are ok if kept in good environmental conditions. However, given HKs humidity you need to make sure they are kept dry and away from sunlight. I wouldn't trust them for backups longer than 1 yr.

    You should switch to a monthly backup to HDD from the 2-3 months currently.

    k, Thanks.. I'll stick to my RAID1 & external HD backups.
