    TV query

We have two TVs with separate Now TV boxes.

The previously mentioned sweet two year old was fiddling with the TV and remote and somehow we have the following situation for which I am looking for an explanation.

On the other TV (the one she was not fiddling with) everything is fine.

On the TV she was fiddling with one channel (720) is now showing the TV picture but the sound is Philippine radio. All other channels are fine.

Do you think this is a NOW TV problem (it would have to be the cable box as the other TV is fine as I said)? Or some setting on the TV?

I'll try NOW TV tech support tonight but if anyone has any clues in the meantime I would be grateful.

Interesting. My guess is that 720 has two audio feeds using the Nicam (which I must admit I have never noticed, but never looked for) with the radio station on the second channel. So try switching Audio A-B on the NOW Remote (like you would for English-Chinese commentary on the sports channels if you have them).

I'll try it tonight when I get home.

    nowtv box

Hi. Well i have the same problem with 720 channel. I thought it was pccw but now you say you have 2 boxes and one of them is ok. Looks like i will have to change the box then. So no Eat Bulaga again tonight, that is if we have to listen to the radio again and watch tv and have my wife and friend talking Tagalog at the same time. Gee no wonder my hair is falling out. Thanks Hull i thought it was just a crossed line somehow. Regarding the remote control for nowtv.I use the sound a+b to change between 2 channel stereo on films and also on football from chinese to english.

Have you tried disconnecting the box from the power supply for a short while so it reboots?

I think there is also a way of forcing an update of the box by pressing the power button twice in quick succession (?).

I've tried to recreate this on 720 at home, and I can't get anything other than the expected audio, so I've no idea what's wrong...

Well it's interesting that others have the same problem. I tried switching between audio A and B and one gives you TV + Radio and the other just TV with no audio. Too busy / knackered last night to do anything about it (and repairing the door) so will try tonight.

Well we did nothing and it seems to have fixed itself according to a call from home. Seems to have been a general problem - but then why did it work on the other TV? Very strange.
