Has anybody successfully achieved this? I want to play music and thought this might be a good use of my old PS2.
I do have an IDE HDD but I don't have a PS2 Network adapter and not sure where to pick one up....
Any advice / comments appreciated.

Fat or thin PS2? You can only soft-mod the fat one, and Sony deliberately limit functionality, so no network or DVD access I think.

Fat. Has the HDD expansion bay.
No clue where I can get a network adaptor these days or if a linux media center on a ps2 is any good! Only want it for music, not for video.
