Having had a look at what is out there for PPC I would say-
1) flashcard
http://www.vendant.com/FlashCardManager/ is an extremely simple but good flash card software program for rote learning. Just getting your list of words in Excel and export it in the right format is a bit fiddly
2) Mapking
http://www.mapking.com/eng/home/index.html great for driving around the less remote areas of HK - although some solid white lines don't match reality!
3) 2D Barcode
Hopefully someday every advert/product will have a 2D barcode to make life simpler http://www.quickmark.com.tw/En/basic/download.asp
4) Media player
