    cable TV service in HK

Hi all I plan to subscribe to a cable tv service

I looked at PCCW and i-cable, but it seems that I need to sign a contract for 2 years otherwise I wont be able to get decent rates

Is this normal in HK? is there a monthly service wheere I wont get reamed with the monthly fees?

Also my apt complex already has free broadband internet, so I dont need to subscribe to a internet service.

    Please provide any recommendations

    Thanks!

well I've tried the cable TV. Their shows are always keep repeating itself...

if the broadband or landline with I-cable, you may go crazy since the internet is either always cut off / down.

You can get the same rates for 18 months, just go to any PCCW shop and negotiate. At least in my case they didn't go down to 12m which I wanted ...

Yes, it's normal. Dunno of any per-month subscriptions.
