    Cool What should i do

i am very much interested in cars and love to know more about them through all means.

Aside of this i also like to participate in restoration projects. However i have no resources in HK to do so.

Can someone suggest what can i do?

    regards

what is it about CARS that you want to know about, do you want to be able to fix / change parts etc.

Not many restoration projects, if there are any, it will most likely be in a speciality (expensive) garage and they wont let you join.

The best suggestion ( safest bet ) I can think of, is to join the > Classic Car Club of Hong Kong Once you make a few friends in the club, your world will be exposed to many that are restoring, or who have restored a great number of fine cars, from 1919 to 1989. To be a member, you need to own a car that is 20 years or older, either fully licensed, or with a classic car club, ( restricted outing ) licence.

You don't have to be rich to be involved in this club, plenty of family folks have a classic toy, that a bit of hobby income has afforded, be it a humble 60's /70's VW beetle, a mid 60's MGB, to a dizzyingly expensive, concourse show winning, Ferrari 275GT, and everything else in between. All walks, are catered for.

A great bunch of blokes, that love preserving Hong Kongs, automotive heritage, which is all that really matters, I suppose. .

If you are more into exotic sports cars, like me, then the best car club/network in HK, is the Motor Sport Club of Hong Kong Main which is a very " cliquey club," so, not sure how well you'll fair with that one..

Good luck with that, lots of petrol heads in HK, but very few like getting their hands dirty, and if I must be brutally honest, majority would have difficulty changing a tail light globe, who paid a 3rd party specialist to restore their car.Extremely rare for them to actually have done it themselves, unlike back home where it's quite common. WTBhotia being a Sai Kung district local, might know Richard, who restored/maintains a number of the cars in the CCHK.

I have friend that is part of that club or others similar ones. Why don't you volunteer to work with someone in one of those clubs.

Owning cars, is never enough help or time, I'm sure someone would welcome your skills.
