Two questions:
1.) Where is the cheapest place online to register a .hk domain name? The cheapest I've found so far is $250HKD/yr.
2.) Does .hk offer private registration (like WhoisGuard)?

I thought it's .com.hk that requires a business license certificate. .hk on the other hand is unrestricted and can be registered by individuals in other countries. Can anyone confirm this?
Here is a full list of rules re the HK registry about what is required to register the various types of domain names using .hk:

Yes I confirm, only .com.hk requires a Hong Kong business license. .hk can be registered by both individuals and businesses overseas.
The amount of time and effort that members of this forum have to put in spotting and correcting the factual errors that a&d makes in almost every post is substantial. I've come to the conclusion that either the guy has a severe mental problem or he is deliberately just adding misinformation to any thread that catches his eye. Either way it's a right pain!
