Tonight, or rather tomorrow morning as its going to be California time, everyone is expecting the new iPad 2 to be announced. Woohoo. Details known are limited to it having a camera for FaceTime and a slightly different size and shape requiring a new case or protector layout.

As usual expect HK sales to at first be high priced US imports with official imports a couple of weeks later. Naturally Fortress any any other electronic store, particularly Apple resellers will not have any clue that Apple will have released a new product or any details of timeline of availability.

Disappointed there was no resolution bump.
Speed looks great, thinner and lighter sounds good. Cameras are ok.

Rumor is that Ipad3 will be launched earlier this year (possibly September) as opposed to another whole year. I am waiting for the Ipad 3 - hopefully this rumor is true!

Apple never launches the same product twice in a year so don't hold your breath.

They reduced the original by $100 apparently, Apple slashes original iPad price to $399, iPad 2 not up for pre-order yet -- Engadget

That's not going to happen here though as goods are bought on shipment not consignment.

lol, could you imagine the uproar from the competitors if Apple reduced the price? They still have no hope of matching the current price and specification.
