Hi, any potential solutions for this scenario appreciated. It’s looking increasingly likely I’ll be moving from a relatively small apartment to a house in the next few months. I currently have an office in the living room with a PC hooked up to the net. I also use this to download TV shows from the UK, which I then watch through the Teev via my playstation, which connects to my home network via WiFi.
The new setup will be – living room downstairs with a TV. Upstairs I’ll have an office and a separate room with the playstation. So I’m basically looking for the most elegant solution where we can watch downloaded content on the Teev downstairs and have the playstation connect wirelessly to the network upstairs. The PC in the office needs to have the best internet connection for work (i.e. not wifi).
I thought about buying a new PC box for the office (and hooking up the existing one with all the media on it to the TV downstairs somehow). Or, can I buy a TV that can connect wirelessly to the PC in the office (that I could use downstairs while moving the existing TV to the room with playstation)? I’m open to all ideas, but ideally don’t want to spend a huge amount of money. That said, I will likely be buying a new TV for the playstation room anyway and possibly a cheapish laptop to have downstairs. Thanks all.
