RAM has a high failure rate. Did it come in an anti-static envelope? Did you "handle" the RAM a lot with bare hands/fingers?

Wanchai Computer Centre - Foresoon Engineering Company Limited.

The girl was nice and knowledgable enough and told me if it doesn't fit/work, to return it.

The RAM just came in a plastic case - not an antistatic envelope. Handled the RAM on the short sides (away from the components and circuitry)

Take the RAM back to Wanchai with the Laptop. Cant think of anything else as you have tried all possible options.

Thanx Amit. I haven't brought the computer in (it isn't a laptop - it is an all in one desktop pc) because I didn't want to lug a 20" computer around!

OP - in addition to upgrading the RAM, consider changing to an SSD hard drive.
The difference in performance is incredible.
