Can't connect to SMTP.netvigator.com when abroad, help!

    Hi guys,

Used to same smtp settings for a while now and never had a problem sending mail when roaming. Now in Europe it suddenly refuses to work, and can't seem to connect to smtp.netvigator.com for outgoing mail? i get the message "Cannot reach server". Anybody any idea here how to get it working again?

Many providers will block port 25. Try using 587

use something else for outgoing mail. I used gmail, for example, for outgoing mail or yahoo, when overseas because netvigator was highly unreliable. (back when I used netvigator).

Try mail.netvigator.com which is what I have it set to at the moment, if that don't work.... then...

If I recall right, netvigator block their smtp servers from all IP's but their own, this was to combat the mass influx of spam being sent from their servers way back when, not sure how accurate this still is as of date.

I know most recent (being a year or so ago), I was unable to access their outgoing mail servers using a One2Free NextG anywhere plan... I had to use a hotmail account to send out, and their pop server to receive.
