Okay i found the option by going to outlook.com. Entered my preferred email and it now seems to be stuck on the page "updating your inbox, please try again in a few mins". Anyone else get this message? How long did it take to get confirmation you got your email?

Seems like I rarely, maybe once every 2 months will get a junk mail in my gmail inbox but I will get up to 20 a day through hotmail.
Oops, meant to say 'Have they fixed it so that the spam filters actually filter junk mail out?'

Right, new Outlook email sorted...iphone email completely messed up! I get a "server admin error" message. Has anyone worked out if you can set up to receive mail sent to both your old and new emails?

tidbit, it isn't called "Metro" style anymore, it is now "Windows 8" style

(maybe, it's all a bit messy at this stage)

either way, check out the new calendar interface within outlook.com very nice

    blashphemer!
Outlook/hotmail on Android? that defeats the purpose - gmail all the way
(you can get your outlook.com mail into your gmail too [but I guess you already knew that])

Just upgraded to outlook.com, and didn't have to go through anything remotely close to the process that Beanieskis described. I clicked on the upgrade link and la voila, my inbox just looks little different.

I would answer that question, but you just play hard to get, as always.
