Interesting approach to cooling- he's just using a cheap household fan instead of something fancy which is quite neat.

On the other hand, he's also potentially made an ineffective choice of hardware- I believe that for folding/distributed computing projects, Nvidea cards walk all over ATI for GPU based calculations. This is the case for [email protected] clients, not sure if the World Community Grid is different.

Doors and dummies are a good start, but if you really want to help your laptop it's better to take out the latex wheels and rainbow unicorns.
