If the disk has not been overwritten where the file was stored you may be able to recover it with some tool like Pandora Recovery.

one more question, this time about Excel file.

I have downloaded a spreadsheet with historical stock quotes.
It states the latest date first, is there any way that I can turn it around
with the oldest date first ?

    thanks

    First select the whole range.
    Data-Sort then chose ascending
