    They claim they have 200 million users.

    Desktop app for Mac OSX seems to work fine.

    Critical mass, depending on where you are. Whatsapp is the defacto messenger in HK but isn't in many countries.

    I think viber has critical mass for phone calls. Now that you can seamlessly message between phone and desktop, they might get more traction on texting too.

    I think the killer product would be a webapp, then they would totally dominate.

    My concern with them, is what's their business plan?

    They are offering all these free calls / texts, yet they are keeping it free. How / when will they make money?

    I think they are waiting for one of the bigger companies to buy them out (Google, Mircoshaft, Apple and so on)

    yeah i think a web based one would be better
