    Alternatives to PCCW ??

I've just moved into a village house in Nai chung village, sai sha.

The house already has PCCW junction boxes installed, but PCCW are saying they have 'no available resource / bandwidth'... and can maybe provide me with internet and TV by the end of Sept!!..

Is there any alternative for broadband and TV in the New Territories??

Unfortunately, no. I follow a blog on Facebook written by an expat, it details his broadband exploits living in several NT villages, and it seems PCCW has a monopoly on them.....

If you can stick it out with just Internet til sept, consider one of this wireless Internet dangles, but reception can be pretty awful in NT villages depending on location.

Your best bet is to go into Ma On Shan maybe outside of the MTR stations and see the street agents of other service providers, ask them if they can supply you with internet/tv.

    cheers guys.

I've been using my iphone as a hotspot.... and its okish.

Looks like I'll have to stick with it. The incredible part is they cant tell me when they'll have bandwidth. It seems they need to wait until someone cancels there broadband.

I'll check out the street venders and see how i get on.
