office documents to pdf conversion DOWNLOAD

I have seen that I can convert Word or Power Point files into pdf.
So how do I upgrade my laptop’software to have that function ?
I run XP and Office from Y2000.
I was told MS Office service pack contains that function.
So I went to MS’s website and downloaded 2010 pack 3, however, it did not help.

or do I need the latest Adobe reader ?

    Thanks, guys !

The MSO 2010 should have a pdf save as option..you can try diwnloading third party freewares like pdf995 or nitro pdf which can help you convert pdf through print option!!

Both the above are software add-ons are good and install as a PDF printer.

But if you don't want the hassle of installing software then just use a free on-line service

You can install it on Windows XP, but only if you have Service Pack 3 installed.

All Microsoft Office 2010 editions have these operating system requirements:

Operating System Minimum Required Version Architecture
Windows XP Windows XP with Service Pack 3 32-bit
Windows Vista Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 32-bit or 64-bit
Windows Server 2003 Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 32-bit or 64-bit
    Windows Server 2008 Windows Server 2008 32-bit or 64-bit
    Windows 7 Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit

And you really should be looking to upgrade your operating system. MS are no longer supporting XP which means it will not be receiving any updates after April, and it is already the most insecure OS in the Windows family.
