Ouch, the phase 1 priority pre-registration is an eye-watering $12k USD.

I'm going to punt on the more economical $189 phase 5 for a more generic name, and then just do the 39.95 pre-registration for a specific one that I would doubt will be up for much competition.

Any alternative registrar suggestions? GoDaddy has a pretty crapulent reputation.

My preference so far has been with DomainIt, simple no fuss website and service.

Hopefully this will be a little disruptive. Google now determines who succeeds and breaking into the top 10 result for keywords is getting tougher

The importance of Search Engine Rank Position for your particular niche is important to more than just the peddlers of potions. Isn't much of the $40b revenue for Google spent by big business to ensure they appear on the first page.
