    An alternative to PCCW??

Does anyone have any success with other broadband providers in HK? I understand HKBN is gaining popularity, do they provide a reliable service?
We are about to move to Clearwater Bay and PCCW want to double our monthly payment - but reduce our mgs from 30 to 8!
Would seriously like to change. Anyone have a better experience with another provider?

When you move to da Jungles, PCCW is your only hope for Broadband, unless you buy one them data dongles.

Max speed stated is 8MB but in reality you will only get 6MB, there is a glitter of hope and that PCCW is upgrading the lines in clear water bay, some villages eg Sheung Yueng and Pan Long Wan had PCCW guys last night selling the 30MB / 100MB packages but needed $698 upgrade fee and monthly fee of $298.

I'd pay that immediately if they ever improved the speeds in my old building.

On a tangential note, do Hong Kong Telecom (HKT) PCCW Netvigator broadband prices ever increase DURING the contract term?

I see that BT in the UK now increased line rental and broadband price charges unilaterally within the contract period (not just on expiration of the lock in contract period).

I have been using HKBN for a few years now and they are far better than PCCW.
