    Web ad blockers: any news?

Have seen that AdBlock Plus will block all ads on Chrome, well nearly all, maybe. I sure could use some blockage as i never buy any stuff and have ZERO interest in stuff to buy, am sick of reading/hearing the gibberish.

You may google and read about AdBlock Plus. It's free, open source.

Are you asking about this, or telling other people to use it?

People have been using these plugins for a decade, it's not exactly new and untested software... Just install it and try it.

Personally, I used Adblock and Adblock+ on and off for years. Static ads don't bug me too much (of course, I've disabled Flash off my computers because Flash is bloody terrible).
    Proplus likes this.

Well, here's my firsthand news on Adblock Plus: FABULOUS. I never knew. What a simple pleasure, to be without adverts.

Now if i could only block SAMSUNG phones and their very annoying chirping whistle. Would smash someone's face with their own handheld next time it sings. (kidding, am non-violent but hate the ugly everywhere sound of your shit in my life).

I guess the news from a while back is that you should be using UBlock or UBlock Origin. The Adblock authors sold out so swap it for one of the newer ones, the choice is almost moot at the moment but the non-Origin one may get new addition features above and beyond.

.......or get FREE Ad Muncher which "eats" pretty much ALL of the crappy adverts - thus saving the downloading of them.
