I now use an app called Stocard, not only can it store barcodes for loyalty card like Mannings, Body Shop, etc, it also allows one to generate QR codes, so I've generated one for my PCCW internet payment, and just let the cashier at the 7-11 scan my phone screen
Autopay for the win. Cute to see twentyth century technology still in use though. Do you still fax too?

759 is different, as you get actual discount with the card being presented, thats why they don't take any barcode/QR code.

With Stocard, I've linked it to a US Starbucks account, I get free credit from time to time, and I have the QR code display on my Apple Watch.

The vast majority of linked services seem to be airlines and hotels.

Note that I wrote the contract is not in my name, therefore I cannot change how the payment is made.

Discount on occasions have been up to 30% off.

Maybe the want to see a physical card that actually belonged to a regular shopper instead of someone random waving a QR code around trying to get a discount.

Only if you trust PCCW / HKE / BT / British Gas etc not to overcharge you or impose bogus fees, which they will at some point. I speak with experience of two of those.

Life is too short to worry about this sort of thing, In the unlikely event of an error, I'm sure there is some mechanism to recover the funds. You can cancel the autopay before they take the money out anyway, if you want to dispute a bill then send.
