    PCCW knows their competition. If your building is identified as an VIP target, it means you can afford premium price / service and there is no alternative supplier offering similar service - icable offers a shared network, so when more flats in the same building use it during peak hours, the speed will get very slow.

    The conclusion is, they will not offer you a discount.

    appreciate that James, thanks for explaining the icable structure. I doubt very much i have any leverage with PCCW. i'll report back soon as to how i get on.. thanks!

    Have a look at the deals listed in the PCCW site, sometimes they list stuff that the agents won't mention.

    I got an offer of $168 for 1GBPS from PCCW. No installation fee. Sadly, I resigned a contract with HKBN 100MBPS Fibre at $238 before knowing of this offer. Try talking to the reps

    PCCW "VIP" service. That's just too funny! (Sorry, but there's an oxymoron in there for sure)
