    Windows 11 Install Problem

    I have a 10 year old 2500K, 16GB of RAM and Win 10.

As Windows 11 needs TPM2.0 and secure boot, I found I can use Rufus to bypass the security features.

I tried both downloading from M$ and Rufus and setting it to extended to bypass TPM2.0 and secure boot but it still says my PC doesn't support Win 11 during installation.

    Any ideas why?

What does the health check app say?

Might be the CPU regardless of boot security ..

Health check says CPU, TPM and Secure Boot are not supported.

I also changed the registry to add a Microsoft supported value to allow for old CPUs.

After that, the CPU warning when installing disappears, however Secure Boot and TPM warnings still remain despite Rufus allowing to bypass these features.

Ok, just deleted any TPM and UEFI mentions in the ISO's appraiser.dll and it worked!

I got it on my Surface, it is running so much faster now, quite impressed!

Surprised that these DLLs are not crypto sealed & verified. (Been well over a 15 years since I've used a Windows machine..)
