    4G Router connection problem

Hello, everybody! I have a 4G wi-fi router and Sunmobile sim-card with unlimited data (14 Gb, 42 Mbps). The sim-card works great when put in my android phone and the internet is fast and stable. But when I put it in the router the internet is not stable. It completely dissconects up to few times per munute, although there is no wi-fi connection problems and the signal is strong. For me it looks like a problem of connection between the router (or sim-card) and network, rather than router to my device communication... I went through the router connection parameters, ensured that APN name (sunmobile) is correct and, actually, there are not too much settings I can modify. The router system log (photo attached) shows periodic failed connection to ACS [CWMP] followed by many ping timeout errors. Any idea whether I can fix it somehow?

Is your data plan intended to be used with a router? Since it's SunMobile I suspect it's not the case and they are probably blocking your access for violating their Terms of Service

I cross-checked my contract conditions and haven't found any such a limitation. I can go and ask them directly though. Thanks.

Maybe your router doesn't have the same 4G band as your phone.

Any way to know and fix it if it's so?

With the SIM card in your mobile phone, can you share your data with hotspot?

    Try the following:-

Use a different Sim Card on your router and see if that works?

Borrow a 4G sim router from a friend and see if that works with your Sim Card.? If your friend’s sim router works, then the issue is with your router.

Try a factory reset of your router. Check which firmware you’re running and see if it’s the latest version. As ycchai recommends download the latest version.

Take your Router to Sun Mobile and ask to try using one of their active SIM cards? If their’s work, then get a new SIM replacement card
