Thanks very much everyone for your help. The phones were supposed to arrive today, but didn't, and he said they'd probably be in tomorrow. I asked him if I could buy applecare with the phone and he said no. I asked if he was an approved apple reseller and he replied that he just sold a few ipods. I asked if the phones were parallel imports and he said that they had no warranty. This is a significant purchase for me and I don't want any clouds of doubt over it, warranty-wise or any other-wise, so I cancelled. The guy at the 3 shop (where I ordered a phone last week) said they'll be here in August some time.

I did find an authorized apple reseller at the Wanchai Computer Markets, and his prices are the same as the apple online shop, but he will get more when the apple shop get more.

So now I will just get on with my life and stop obsessing about iphones! And not think about the fact that I could have sent this on the bus if I had an iphone....
