A quick search brings up many online password saver sites, but does anyone have any experience of them? That is their security, reliability, accessibility, etc. Thanks.

I would avoid them, irrespective of the technology involved.
Like they say, if you want to keep something secret, NEVER tell anyone about it.
I'd recommend lastpass.com - been using it for about six months and have been very pleased with it. All your passwords locked with a master pass that you should change regularly, and it also has add-ins for web browsers that let you auto-login to sites.
The other useful feature is a form-fill function that works well with most websites.
Comes with an iphone app if you're so inclined as well.
i had used XMarks/foxmarks on firefox, allows you to synch a few different browsers on different machines over the net, either bookmarks, passwords or both...
I used the password sync/store once when I had to re-install winXP, however like Shri i'd not be keen to leave my security details on some unknown server... especially after scotchdrinkers scare
i do still use it for bookmark sync though...
I agree with shri and the others. Don't put passwords on anything except a machine over which you have total control and on which you are confident of your security.
Well, all that being said - lastpass encrypts locally and data is stored on your own pc. Relatively safe, and for the purists they even offer multi-factor authentication with a thumb drive.
Technology
My current password saver is as secure as it can be but sometimes there are problems with accessibility.
I'm just exploring other options but would like the saver to be accessible wherever I am, hence the idea of an online one.
Looks like it's not to be.
I've been using RoboForm for a couple of years now, its great. Now they have this thing called RoboForm2Go, which is something that you can put on a flash drive and carry around with you. I have not tried it yet, but there is a free version available (with some limitations), so you may want to give that a shot.
Having said that, I agree with most of the above comments, nothing is completely hack-proof.
Here's a solution for password access from multiple trusted computers. Password management finally possible - Joel on Software
I'm using passwordsafe, but without any fancy multi-pc sync method.
I have no idea what the online services like lastpass do, so can't comment.
