Skype on Mobile phone via iSkoot software

Does anyone have any experiences using iSkoot software to make / receive international Skype calls through mobile phone? I'm thinking of buying a SonyEricsson P1i and one of its advertised features is the ability to make overseas calls at Skype rates (instead of normal international rates) via a software called iSkoot.

If you have done it, does it really work like that? What's the call quality like? Any bugs to be aware of?

If you have not used iSkoot but another software (like Fring) to make Skype calls with your mobile phone, please share the experience as well and mention the model of phone you used.

    Thanks

Why would you want to use skype-out rates given that they are more expensive than many traditional IDD services? (even assuming you have an unlimited data package on your phone)

Axel - We'll hopefully be helping this company launch their over-smart-phone IDD service over the next couple of weeks.

Still havent tested it .. will be doing so next week hopefully.

I noticed that calls to the US are cheaper via IDD but calls to some European countries are cheaper via Skype.

I've actually been using Fring on an N95 8GB and I would say at best it's ok. Works over both 3G and WiFi - but it can take quite a while to connect to the Skype network and download your contacts. Have noticed a bit of lag and the occasional voice under water phenomena.

But in it's defense it did save me when both the 0060 and 0030 networks were constantly unavailable as they always seems to be during the working hours of the weekdays.
