    iphone3 broken glass

I managed to break the glass screen of my iphone3.
How much is repair in HK and where is best place to do that ?

And is it less expense if I can produce another i3 with good glass?
A friend of mine has one that is dead, but shell and glass ok

You're better off putting that money towards a new phone, provided you are more careful with it.

    Very helpful Chris

Assuming its just the screen then you're looking at a couple of hundred. This is mongkok prices.

Island side I have no idea

I'm using a 3G right now with bad pixels and the cost of repair is almost as much as a second hand iPhone, so why bother?

Bad pixels is a lot more to fix than a broken glass.

My 4G suffered from a failed screen and I got the screen and glass and home button fixed for $500 in mongkok. I think it's worth the bother.

I think it's more your tight than wanting to spend money.

Sincere Podium/Centre. 83 Argyle Street in Mongkok. Exit D2 I think

Walk in--visit any one of the dozens of smartphone repair places.

But I agree put the money to a new phone. A 3's battery recharge / discharge strength has got to be on its last legs.

    Thanks guys.
Even b4 thr screen issue I decided not to buy a new one simply bevause of the risk of loss.
Battery is fine as on day 1 I feel,
A friend will give me an old 3 so that I can cannibalize it for the screen and volume "button"

Alternatively, if you pop into an Apple store, for around HK$7xx you can have it swapped for a new 3GS.
