    Not sure about iPhone, but I fixed my Nexus 7 screen with a place called Palm Centre in Shum Shui Po - google them if you like. Pretty solid guy (just a one man shop) and reasonably priced (definitely cheaper than what Asus quoted), I was fine with the work.

    my gf went to the place recommended further up thread and they fixed it on the spot for $600. it's not rocket science. she probably could've talked them down further but still half the price of Apple. so thanks for the heads up.

    as for Apple v Android - i have a samsung android phone and its perfectly functional, just nowhere near as nice to use as an iphone - thats down to the OS though rather than the hardware. and it was half the price.
