Just be careful what version you are quoting the price on:
The version that is software unlocked is more expensive than the ones that are hardware unlocked... the hardware unlock is done by fusing a "turbosim" type of card to the inside of the phone.. so you can't tell from the outside. But functionality.. there is a difference, and the software unlocked phones will be the preferred.

Another easy indicator for the version is the included power plug.
If it is the 3-pin (UK-plug) it is the real unlocked version.
If it is the 2-pin (US-plug) it will only work with Turbosim.
Btw, I got my 8GB model in Mongkok, a bit negotiating, for 6.500,- (the real unlocked version) - 16GB is around 1.000,- more.
(Bought it 1 week ago).
