Anyone else noticed snail like performance from their S3 since "upgrade" to Jelly Bean (4.3)?
I'm also experiencing more "pocket warmer" incidents!
Thinking of a root (Hope Robertlempriere is watching), otherwise this thing is in the bin!

Check see if theres a newer update available, on the Note 2 I found I was getting the pocket warmer effect caused by mm-qcamera-daemon always running, it could drain a 50% to dead in about an hour. Discovered a 4.4.2 update on Kies and updated, not had a problem since.
No idea if its available for S3 but might be worth a check.
A friend who recently changed his S3 (I believe) to Cyanogen commented on how much faster it ran without the Samsung bloatware.
Cheers, oddly enough, I have just done a "Check for updates" and there was one available. Will see if this makes any difference.
Thanks, with the warranty up, I am most likely to go down that "root" (Pun intended), I assume that my Google account stuff (Apps etc) will be unaffected?
Rooted my s3 awhile back. Your Google Apps will stay fine. Unless you download some Japanese apps. They tend to not work on rooted devices. For my s3, I just root it use greenify app to put most of my background apps to Slp and titanium back up to delete Samsung system apps like Samsung apps, hub, etc
