    Android-L on Nexus 5

So ... who has updated their Nexus 5 to the new Android-L release?

So far been a pretty clean upgrade using the downloadable images.

Keen to see if there is *ANY* improvement in battery life - which is the big reason for upgrading....

Got the OTA update this morning. So far no issues. Phone seems a bit faster too but battery seems same as before

How you get the update? When I do the look-for-updates thing it said I got the latest.

You have to wait as they don't send all the update at once. Can take up to a week before you get it.

Not sure if I like the lock screen .. have to swipe AND then enter the pattern to unlock the phone.

    Must investigate ...

I had to factory reset to unlock the boot loader.

Something is odd ... will have to check settings and perhaps reset the phone again.

Did you manage to fix it? Nexus 5 is quite a bit slower with Android 5.

No .. apparently it is a feature - a pre-lock notifications screen .. and if you swipe on it, you get the lock screen.

Quite happy with the performance on the 5. May be something to do with the factory reset I had to do, to unlock the bootloader. Ended up purging over half my apps.

Not impressed with battery life ... don't think there has been any improvement.

all nexus' Achilles heel has been the battery life ( apart from most current on nexus 6), as if they deliberately crippled/weakened the phone to make other phones competitive
