2nd hand android phone - kick pccw and music tech stuff

how much should I spend and where to pick up? ( aside from stalking classifieds )

    i want to run TouchOSC on it mainly ( h e x l e r . n e t | TouchOSC for Android )

    which says

    • Requires Android 1.6 or later
    • Multi-touch requires Android device with full distinct touch tracking capabilities

oh yeh and I might buy some unlimited data SIM card for it - try run with out pccw - if I manage a month with out turning Pccw on I can cut it

phone ideal size would be a bit bigger than iphone 5

    wdyt?

    how much?

which phone common on 2nd hand market here ?'

As a follow up, I'd like to buy a used Android or Apple 5, any clues besides like you said stalking the classifieds? I heard Kowloon has some decent places.

what's your budget? and size requirement?

considering this is used as second phone, would a mini tablet/large phablet do,

import- grey , but NEW, 6.4 inch xperia z ultra with then flagship cpu and 2 ram, well decent for 2013, but at HK$2000, bargain

    Sony Xperia Z Ultra LTE C6806 - 智能電話 - 手提電話 - 通訊 - 香港格價網 Price.com.hk

great for games and music based apps, etc, you can even plug in tv via mhl adaptor ( get the cec compatible one as you can control the entire phone via tv remote )

And if you want to buy online - Expansys Outlet usually has some good bargains.

Checked today and they do have a number of new open box items available for fairly decent prices.

B-Stock Outlet - Expansys Hong Kong (磐石· 環球數碼城)

all multi touch apart from the entry level phones

any other aspect of the phone which you may use, ie, gaming ( with real controller)? plug in TV, removeable battery ( especially for a older phone, partial exhausted battery), sd card ( watch lots of HD movies or have you entire flac/mp3 collection)

if that's the case, I would aim for either galaxy s4, sony xperia z, lg g2, ect, more likely in the region of a HK$1000 used, but still very usable and due to high spec ( at the time) more than sufficient in power wise ( probably more powerful or the same than a 2010 pc - core 2 duo laptop)

If your going to recommend the Z ultra for $2000, I will chime in and say get the Z3 for $2700. I got this recently. The Japanese NTT Docomo version can flash the global HK firmware and everything works great except the NFC, and added bonus it has 32GB ram compared to 16GB on global version. You can also get the Japanese AU version for $2580 but I'm not convinced if the global firmware can be flashed onto it successfully, so you are stuck with a phone that still works and still has english options, but its loaded with shit apps and a strange looking GUI, oneseg tuner that doesnt work, etc.

If you are looking for a phone that feels like the Iphone 5s or 5c then XiaoMi have Android look-a-likes

    IPhone 5c clone XiaoMi 4i at HK$ 1599

May be on a par with the 5c in performance but battery life will be much better.

The default email client may not be great so suggest you try one of the many out there.
