I'd try on the markets in Mong Kok, towards Prince Edward end, loads of Mobile shops there, even a mall or Sham Shui Po (near the Golden Computer Centre) for Shui-for
Mongkok - generally the least expensive electronics area in HK. I believe most are grey imports, and as per usual business practice they won't accept returns so make doubly sure what you walk out with is what you want.
Good point... but if you agree on something, have them write it down on the receipt. Most retailers are nice people, you just have to know how to deal with them.
If you're a bit wary of Mongkok, look for a place called "Mobile Phone Direct Selling Center". They have outlets in a fair number of locations. Probably a few dollars more expensive than the bottom end, but fair deals and they are large enough to honor their "shop warranties".
By the way, look for quad band phones.. thats the hot thing right now.
They are only useful, if your planing to visit America or from the US, otherwise that's just gonna be another feature you won't be using. CDMA is the way to go, especially with the advances of 3G coming to every network soon, might take a few more years for the US though.Originally Posted by KnowItAll:
Lazarus,
Curious, why would you want a tri band phone if you were not visiting the US?

The P900? Thought that was a tri. Or did you get a new one?
I broke the screen (for the second time! Argh!)... It's cracked right on the touch sensitive part. I took it to Times Square, cause that's where the Sony Ericssion is now. They quoted me $1500 for a replacement part then plus labour, even them it's not a new part.Originally Posted by KnowItAll:
