I have built-in digital noise cancellation ( great for silencing air craft noise, air con, office, trains and buses, not effective for shouty people sitting next to you), ps3/ps4 controller support, mhl with cec compatibility (use to tv remote/amp remote to control the contents of your phone)

What i would like to see in a future phone, audiophile grade dac and amplification , at least somewhere close to my walkman which kills all smartphones
    Bring on modular phones.

At the moment my Z3 hits the spot apart from not having QI and Quick Charge.

The S6 ticks all the boxes for me BUT the battery life sucks.

Waiting in anticipation for the new Nexus phones. They will probably have everything, BUT dual sim.

I guess you can't have everything in life.
have you tried magnetic dock charging, just place you phone and it charges, even if you slightly misaligned, the magnets will place it in correct positon

also, qi charging seems not popular, only a few flagships adopt it this year, are there disadvantages ? seems pricey as well, unless you get a no brander one

The branded qi chargers are certainly overpriced - the technology inside is very basic.

the main 'disadvantage' is that qi charging is slower than cable charging

gotta admit, dual sim would be pretty nice to have.

@imparanoic Had Qi on my N5 and thought it was great. You can pick up a non branded Qi charger quite cheaply. I thought about getting the dock for the z3, but have opted for using a magnetic adaptor. I still prefer Qi over the magnetic option (I guess personal choice). The other thing about Qi, its not propitiatory, unlike Sony's magnetic (which they have phased out for their newer models).

I think the real problem is that most flagship phones are overpriced and too similar to each other.

I've found the best way to get value is to buy last year's flagship.

Released. Seems to support NFC and dual sim. Still no word on QI charging. Very competitive pricing as well.

Xiaomi Mi 4c offers Snapdragon 808, 5-inch FHD display and USB Type-C for $204 | Android Central

Tempted, but will have to wait to see what Google announce next week.

One problem I find with Xiaomi devices is the Android OS they run is quite heavily customised to look like IOS. I prefer a more stock Android experience. Im not sure you can flash a generic version of android on them or not.

In most cases, not really - reason being is almost all the good firmware/ROM development is done for the Snapdragon based devices. Xiaomi typically use Mediatek.
