Google maps - MTR exits - back

    According to Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/HongKong/co...n_google_maps/

I can see them on the desktop website. Not on Android app yet though.

On iphone I can see bus routes are back but no MTR exits yet. On desktop I can see the MTR exits but they look kind of different. From memory they used to be a different colour and showed things like tunnels, staircases and which way you were facing when you popped up on the street. Now is just a red MTR logo on the map.

I can see the MTR exits on my iPhone. Perhaps zoom in a little for the individual ones.

Thanks God, at least something is working again in this world. MTR exit is critical for me on the map.

They came back literally 5 seconds after my post. Can see them now. But as I said they are not quite the same. It used to show underground tunnels and stairs etc but are now just dots on the map. I guess OK though.

Do you think this is for security reasons? It was effectively making the blue print for the MTR stations public.

I don't think so. Can't imaging MTR exits on the maps add any security threats.

It's not like the underground walkways and stairwells are a national secret.

Could just be someone missed a couple of lines of code (says the person who has no idea how any of this works ).
