Essentials Apps for surviving in HK

Well, I guess the thread title is pretty self-explanatory.

I thought it might be useful if we started a repository of apps that we consider indispensable for living/working/visiting HK.

I get the ball rolling with my top five:

    1. Citymapper. (Free). Great for getting around HK by public transport. If you're new to HK this app is comprehensive and covers all modes of transport.

    2. MyObservatory. (Free). The HK Observatory's own app for weather updates and warnings. Great for those black rain days! Comes with widget for desktop (android) or notifications panel (iOS)

    3. SCMP. (Free). Free (at last) news resource. Ad driven but useable.

    4. Skipmenu. (Free). This is my find of the year! Anyone who's lived in HK for a while will know the soul destroying agony of being stuck in an automated telephone system, like that of PCCW or HSBC. This app helps you bypass all that and get directly to where you want to go. Well stocked database of all those annoying HK companies that love to torture us.

    5. Hong Kong Taxi Translator. (Paid?) Translates HK addresses phonetically and in written Chinese to show to taxi drivers. A must.

Maybe not essential for all, but some I use...

    KMB & LW app
    The Grand Cinema app
    Dah Sing Bank
    Uber
    Yelp/Trip Advisor/Open Rice
    Apple converter (currency exchange)
Clock (figure out time zones throughout world)

I like the CX app for quickly searching for flights although I prefer to actually book on a laptop.
