    iPhone unlocking help

I know it's been a topic before and I have read them, but I need help with unlocking my wife's 1st gen. US-based iphone. She has the 2.0 software on it. We would like to use it here with a SIM card. I have taken it to a shop in Mong Kok (the one by the Ireland Potato place) and they said they couldn't help. I don't know about all that computer stuff the various websites talk about, (creating this, sending that, transferring this other thing). So, if someone could walk me through this or point me to a shop that could do it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Go To either Ap Lei u Street in Sham Shui Po or go to Sin Dat (Sincere Center in Mong Kok) These 2 places are crammed with mobile phone shops and are used to modifying phones.
