Other than the difference in cost/price of the monthly plan and the price of the phone, is there a difference between purchasing the IPhone 7 at the carrier's store (and getting a plan with the phone at the store) versus purchasing the IPhone 7 at the Apple store and then returning to the carrier's store to sign up for a plan?

I heard something like if you purchase the IPhone 7 + plan at the carrier's store, you can't get some service/guarantee for the phone that you would be able to if you purchase the IPhone 7 at the Apple store.

yes, for example Smartone usually has special offers (not available from Apple) when you sign contract, e.g free glass replacement in the first year, but need to check with the provider for the terms.

Not going to buy iPhone 7.Why should spend money on iPhone 7 when my iPhone 6S has same features. I think apple must bring something exciting and new.
