    China Mobile "21 Mover" plan

Time to renew my mobile phone contract, saw that China Mobile has an unlimited 3G plan with the first 3GB under 21Mbps but under the 3G network? And then thereafter 384kbps. Port in your existing phone number and they add 2GB under the faster speeds, so 5GB under 21Mbps. Price is $108 per month + $18 = $126/month, 24 month contract.

Has anyone used China Mobile 3G plans before? Just a bit nervous at how decent their 3g network is compared to 4g. On the other hand I'm speed testing my Smartone unlimited 4g plan right now and the download speed is showing 6-9Mbps.

Does China mobile have their own 3g network or they still provide 3g services as mvno through hkt-pccw?

I heard their network isn't fine for a continues user. I wanted to get one as well. But a good friend warned me that it's no good if I want to stay online all the time. I listened to him, Now it's your choice where to listen from.

I got a second phone under SUN mobile back when the plan was $68/month unlimited data and that worked fine. Told a friend to try Smartones $68 plan and it was horrible, they limited the speed so much that it just didn't work.

Just found that China Unicom has 2 number 1 card with some China data, unlimited HK data (fast speeds first 5GB then slow), for $108 per month plus tunnel fee.

Now smartone has an unlimited plan with 5GB under their 4G services then slow. She quoted so many numbers I don't know how much it is. Lol. Think it's $124 per month.

So am still deciding. Even though I kept getting contract ending texts, I have 2 months before I need to change. So might do China Unicom if they have the same offer as would be nice to have WhatsApp when I go to the mainland without extra charges.
