    iphone - 10 years

    https://www.engadget.com/2017/01/09/...0-years-later/

    nuff said really.

Although I am pretty much all in with Android (I do own an iphone 7 though, due to work), its probably the launch of the iphone that changed the face of phones beyond recognition. It led to the death of Nokia as we know it, and the rise of Samsung above all other non-iphone manufacturers.

I miss Nokia. I think smart phones are turning us all into socially inept zombies.

I still got my 1st gen iPhone and it still works fine. Absolutely loved it when I first bought it. I was using an Orange SPV before that and a Sony-Ericsson P90 before that.

I can still remember the lack of features the first few versions of iOS had, so had to jailbreak it all the time.

As we are now spoilt by the speed of modern smartphones, the app performance on it is sluggish. Most of the apps in the AppStore will not work on it as they need a newer version of the iOS. Need to have a jailbroken to install a different appstore that has legacy app versions.
