    Samsung Galaxy S20 Fe

The S20 FE is released in other regions and it seems like a great phone. But it's not here, not even jacked up price import models. Heck even Samsung HK has only the ability to register for information about the phone not a pre-order. No stores know it even exists. Has anybody heard anything about when it may show up here? Or will I have to go international to get it?

I've been keeping my eye on this one as well.

Might be delayed in HK due to Golden Week in China (they just announced its release in S Korea today due to their mid autumn festival there).

Let's see how it is priced, because the price of hte S20 models have already dropped in HK.

You may want to consider the Pixel 5 or the upcoming OnePlus as alternatives, but agree it looks like a good phone and one that I may consider.

If you are considering buying this phone, i do strongly suggest you wait for the HK release rather than a grey good version, simply for the fact that it will get Smart Octopus support via Samsung Pay.

I was looking at the Pixel 5 as well, but comparing the specs side by side and similar or lower price(in some cases) of the FE I hesitate to go pixel. The processor, storage and memory are all slower on pixel. I do like the Pixel camera, but my wife's note 20 camera looks amazing as well. Been debating the two pretty hard the last few days and ended up choosing the FE. So happy to see many flat screen choices these days, hate curved screens.

I didn't even know there was a smart octopus option on Samsung pay! That's cool, thanks for letting me know about that! That's worth waiting for.

In a semi related question. Since I don't want to start a new topic for this, but the prices seem like it probably close to a new Note 10+ I'm considering it as well. Specs are pretty close and each does a few things better than other but quite similar.

Anybody using a Note 10+ for a while? If so how you liking it? Holding up ok?

Note 10+ is going to be bigger and based on last year specs I guess. I think 10+ will be good up to Android 11 (its already had 9 and 10), while S20 FE will be good up to Android 12 (if that matters to you).

Not really that important to get 12. Of course hard to say till I know what's in it. If phone recording shows back up in 12 I'd want it.

I'm on 9 and no security patches since May 2019 on my lg g6. So I can see the benefit of extending anew phone that a year. But its lower on the list. Spen big bonus, curved screen big negative. But I can't complain of having too many choices lol

I'm still using an original Note FE (Note 7+). This was a flagship model at the time. Am I right in thinking that the 20FE is intended as more of a cut-down version like the 10 Lite? If so I would be more inclined to get a 10+. Love the curved screen, primarily of course to annoy Apple users in addition to waving the pen in front of them.

I don't know much of the lite and I don't know of much talk about how good it is or anybody really talking much at all. But the FE talk is pretty good. I so want an spen but I so hate curved screens lol. Note 20 is perfect but too costly.

I would highly not recommend the S20 FE.

The Galaxy S20 retails for $5k brand new. While the FE might be priced around $5800 (~US699). The S20 is a better buy imo given you get more for less.

Would avoid the Note 10+ altogether unless stylus and the extra screen size is an important factor.

You can pick up an international version of the s20 FE via ebay at a pretty good price.

Doesnt support HK firmware so Smart Octupus may not work.
