    5G or 1000M Broadband?

Broadband contract with China Mobile ends next Feb, is 5G better or should I just stick with 1000M?

I've been happy with China Mobile so far and only paying 98HKD a month, anything else worth considering?

All of the 5G broadband plans have a data cap of either 100 or 200GB. The CMHK one (last time I looked) then throttles your speed significantly which would make it less useful for things like streaming. Smartone is FUP based so they reduce based on capacity and Three can be either FUP or throttled depending on which plan.

Based on these restrictions I don't recommend 5G broadband unless it's a backup line or you're a light user

Mobile data must have come a long, long way if people are considering replacing hardwired gig lines with it.

Just spoke with China Mobile, they are offering a new 24 month contract for 88HKD a month.

    Job done.

    I believe no cap.
