Bringing existing work number to new company

Dear forum,

Im leaving my current firm but want to keep my number as i have been using it for many years. Whats the best way of keeping it and even going one step further to eventually porting it over to my new firm?

Mobile or land-line?

Either case if you own the number and it's billed on your name it can be done - even as a hard forward (some providers can do this) or ported over if the existing 'owner' agrees.

If the current work number is registered to your current firm then you CANT take it with u

You actually can, I did it. But you will need company chop to complete the process. You can ask your provider, they will give you the necessary info on what needs to be done
