1G Smartone/CMHK is around the 100-120/month range - 2 year commitments.
It's crazy dealing with them. I was just trying to cancel a land line, and they just could not accept my reasoning and were basically bullying me into keeping it even though i didn't need it. I was like borderline harassment.
It's true, they do get in touch quite early before your contract ends. For my mobile plan, they offered a good deal, so I went ahead and renewed early. However, for my home fibre broadband, the renewal offer was actually pricier than my existing plan. They also contacted me rather frequently about it, which got a bit much. Ultimately, they lowered the price at the last minute, and I ended up renewing.
i thought they don't charge for land lines ? do they actually lower the fees ?
OK, fair enough. I'm in a serviced apartment now, but the HKBN contract I had for 8 years from 2014 said
I guess you could interpret what happens after 24 months in different ways from that. But what happened was that I simply ignored all their invitations to sign a new contract, and the service continued for $188/month up until July 2022 when I sold the apartment.Dear Customer, Service Registration Confirmation Notification
