Given that at the moment, it's only being released on Verizon in the US, which is a CDMA network - not very soon

So many gadgets, so little time...

Thanks for the info. When do you expect that it will be available? Do we have to wait for about half a year?

I belive PCCW is running with CDMA2000 network in HK. Well, perhaps you want to consider Nokia N900, which seems to be better than Droid, at least based on specs, that were recently available for Droid. Nokia N900 specs can be read from Nokia's European websites. Also, N900 uses WCDMA, which from technology point of view is better choice. N900 should be available in HK sometime in Decemeber. This is based on info I got from Nokia shop today.

THe onlyeons that ran a CDMA network were Hutchison. I think their license expired or is going to expire and the spectrum used for CDMA MAX or what ever the standard is called.

I'm looking at the N900 and screen is 3.5", which is smaller than the N810 screens.

As for Android phones, I still want to see what work rendered/Battery life is like. In theory they should be slow and pig-like and have the battery economy of a IBM AS400.

THe motorola Milestone is meant to make up for a bunch of lacks the Droid has like the multi-touch etc. It also seems like there are two different version of the Droid one for Europe and another for the US. One has had its features cut.

Maybe worth skipping on the Droid.

The Droid is CDMA so won't work here. The Milestone will be GSM and should work in HK (now the question is, will one of the operators launch it here, or will it make its way over on its own without being tied to an operator).

Seems multi-touch / pink and squeeze, etc is missing from the Droid due to licensing issues in the states, something that is not an issue for the Milestone in Europe
