PEOPLES GPRS on my iPhone 3gs ?

    Hey guys,

I recently got an iPhone 3gs and since i am on a contract with Peoples i cant really change my plans at the moment beside upgrade to $98 / per month to unlimited GPRS using Peoples service.

Any 1 using their service on their iphones? Will their GPRS work on my iPhone?

Not sure if the 3GS can do EDGE but Peoples network does provie this, can get comparable rates to 3g.

Wonder what crappy 3G networks you've been using which (real-world performance) peak at around 200kbit/s?

I think there are plenty of crap 3G networks and areas that don't give you the throughput.

It doesn't take much for the theoretical theoretical 348Kbit of 3G, to be running at 236Kbit of EGRPS.

Again, we're obviously talking about different things. I regularly get throughput of 10 times 348kbit on my 3G connection...

Yes, I am talking 3G based on the ITU standard you are talking about a 3.5g or enhance 3G service such as HSDPA. or some service labelled as 3G.

I thought the Iphone 3GS supported 7.2 Mbps HSDPA?

Further, I'm under the impression that the Iphone 3G supports 3.6 Mbps HSDPA?
