    Me vs CSL

    Hello ppl,

I recently noticed 1300hkd (about 13MB of data only, I am not subscribed for GPRS) on my mobile bill for GPRS. After some research I figured out that it mostly likely happend because:
    a) either CSL put it on my bill on mistake
    b) or when I was using free wifi on the ferry and when wifi signal became weak I was automatically switched to GPRS without any notification

None of these is confirmed. I contacted CSL about 2 weeks ago. I declined usage of GPRS and they promised to investigate and to reply me within 7 days. I am still waiting for their reply. I already sent them 3 email reminders and received answer "we are working hard blahblahblah... we are done when we are done". I made a phone call and I was promised in prompt resolution. And nothing happend again. Today is 15th day of my saga. What do you suggest? HSBC will debit me in 3 weeks.

What I think is to call HSBC and instruct them not to pay CSL. Afterall I do not know what the hell happend and support does not seem to care. Has someone been in similar situation and knows how to fight such 'fat cats'?

I don't think you have a leg to stand on, it is not their fault. It is your phone's fault. Mine does the same, but there again I'm on an unlimited plan HK$128/month.

Make sure you remove the GPRS configuration of your phone if you don't want it to go online accidentally again.

    Hi,

Indeed i have similar situation a skyway bills up which I havent used at all and told them to cut off months ago but still they havent do it. So I scolded the customer service in the phone and asked their names and told them I will report them at Consumer Council when it comes to Govt thing they will be afraid to be exposed about their slimy crooked things to handle their business.

Here's the no. of consumer council if you intend to report them 29292222. And also mention to them that you are suing their company and it works for me.

    Cheers,
    Jacky
